Get Curious: an Art & IFS Journey
A twice monthly online group for wellness
where your imagination is the key and the limit

Presented by
Brenda Cunningham, MS, ATR-BC, LPC
Brenda has been creating since childhood and was always into various arts and crafts projects. She majored in art in High School, and attempted drawing and painting in college. Eventually, Brenda returned to college later in life and received a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Glass in 2008, and a Master of Science in Creative Arts Therapies in 2010. Brenda has been in private practice since 2016 working as an art therapist, and treating all sorts of diagnoses. Just after graduate school, IFS was introduced but not yet realized until she went on a retreat for therapists in February 2022. The retreat focused on IFS and creative expressions. From that point on Brenda digested as much reading, webinars, and workshops on IFS as she could handle. Using the IFS approach with herself, as well as with her clients in private practice has been a tremendous learning experience. Between her knowledge and experience with both the IFS model and various art materials and processes, she has a lot to offer and share with you. The combination of art and IFS is so spectacular that it's not fair to only share it in the office 1:1 with a single person at a time. This is why she wants to branch out into coaching and be able to offer this online to a larger audience. Being able to share this with you is very exciting! To learn more about Brenda click here. In this group we will cover
Learning to practice IFS, Creativity, & Self-Compassion
IFS (or Internal Family Systems) is a framework to help understand the mind, emotions, and why we do the things we do and react the way we do. By identifying the inner parts of our system and working with them, we can understand more and react differently going forward. What better way to do this than accessing our imaginations and creativity?! I’m here to guide you through this journey! There are many ways of creating art, gaining access to these inner parts, having ongoing dialogue with them in a curious and compassionate way, and nurturing a relationship with each of them. There is no right or wrong way, so feel free to do what feels right to your system.
Creating Artwork &
Exploring Inner Parts
Gain inspiration and instructional tutorials on how to use various art materials for your creations. There is no obligation to buy more art materials than you already have, or to do the directive presented. You only need to do what feels right to you and your system of inner parts. Receive guidance and supportive techniques to help you map out your internal system of inner parts and create as you see fit.
Holding a Safe &
Supportive Space
Monthly and annual members will be given access to an online zoom event bi-weekly (live and recorded), and a private Facebook page. Both will be a safe and supportive environment to share your art and system of parts with others and participate in guided meditations, give and receive compassionate feedback, and be inspired by the creativity. You can follow along with the art activity presented or do your own thing. No pressure!
